What mentors do

You will be mentoring senior high school students, undergraduate applicants, and current university students across Ghana who are navigating decisions about programmes, universities, and careers.

  • Host strictly online video sessions via Zoom or Google Meet on what you know best: choosing a programme, surviving first year, internships, studying abroad, scholarships, or breaking into your industry.
  • Sessions are available in 15, 30, 45, or 60-minute durations. You choose what works for your topic and style.
  • Answer student questions honestly, from lived experience.
  • Set your own topics, price, length, and availability.

Who we’re looking for

You don’t need a perfect CV or a famous job title. You need lived experience and the willingness to share it honestly.

  • University students (2nd year and above) and recent graduates.
  • Young professionals with at least a year in their field.
  • Anyone willing to show up on time, be honest, and follow our Code of Conduct.

How it works

  1. Apply. Tell us about your background and record a short intro video.
  2. Get reviewed. Our team verifies your profile. Most decisions come back within a few days.
  3. Set up your sessions.Define what you want to offer and when you’re available.
  4. Get booked. Students find you on Uniquest and book through the platform.
  5. Show up and get paid. Host the session; earnings land in your dashboard.

Your time, your terms

There is no minimum. You choose how many hours to open each week, what to charge, and which topics to take. Pause availability any time, no questions asked.

Earnings

You set the price for every session. You keep 70% of each booking. Uniquest takes 30% to cover payments, hosting, support, and operations. For example, if you charge GHS 100, you earn GHS 70. Detailed earnings and payout history live in your dashboard once you’re approved.

FAQ

Do I need a perfect CV?

No. We care more about authenticity and willingness to help than prestige. If your experience is genuinely useful to a student, you qualify.

Can I mentor while still studying?

Yes. Some of our best mentors are current students sharing what they wish they had known a year or two earlier.

What if no one books me at first?

That’s normal early on. Clear topics, an honest intro video, and a fair price are what bring in your first bookings. We’ll help you set those up.

Is there a contract?

You agree to our Terms of Service and Code of Conduct when you apply. You can stop mentoring any time.

How secure is my data?

We take data security seriously. Your personal information, session data, and earnings are protected with industry-standard encryption and security practices. Read more on our Security page.
